After my co-worker and friend Erica and I recently got our hair done at Mane Chicago (Thanks, Lauren!), we met up with her husband and adorable son, Milo, for some Dimo’s Pizza. Erica, a vegan, has been raving about it forever (they always have vegan options available), so I needed to finally see how good the pizza was for myself.
We walked in a Thursday evening to a duo setting up to perform, and a short line to order (this is a double win in my book!). The slices are prepared for you to choose from, and then they heat it up for you and it’s ready to be eaten. The problem is…there are so many choices! I had a flashback to Hot Doug’s, where I chose some non-adventurous menu items, and didn’t want to make the same mistake twice. So I went outside my comfort zone (and my diet), and ordered a slice that sounded cozy and a carb overload: Mac and Cheese Pizza! It’s Milo’s favorite, so that was a plus, too.
I wasn’t sure about my order until I took a bite…and then another and another. You really don’t know what to think before that bite, but it’s mouthwateringly delicious. Erica suggested some BBQ sauce on top (I’m already off the wagon, might as well do it up!), and it was so good. So good that I pushed my limits and got another slice (probably why I passed out from a food coma shortly after I got home).
I should mention that while we were enjoying our pizza, the duo was killing it with hits from Britney Spears, Sia, and others, and we were playing a great game of Sorry (you can check out board games while you’re there). It was such a great time–I need to go back!
So grateful to the B’s for letting me crash family night and enjoy some tasty pizza. Until we meet again!
